Aegis Pulse Docs

Staff-grade Discord safety, explained clearly.

Aegis Pulse combines website verification, invite tracking, privacy-safe telemetry, risk scoring, dashboard modules, identity graph review, and staff controls for Discord communities that need safer giveaways and cleaner moderation workflows.

Start here

What Aegis Pulse does

It is an invite tracker, verification portal, risk analysis engine, and staff operations dashboard. The bot is built so sensitive alt evidence stays private in server logs, review queues, and graph views instead of becoming public callout material.

Step 1

Invite the bot

Add Aegis Pulse to the server, keep its role above every role it needs to assign, and make sure it can see the channels where it should send panels or logs.

Step 2

Open Servers

Use the website dashboard to select the server. Owners, Administrators, Manage Server users, and configured dashboard roles can manage setup.

Step 3

Configure verification

Choose the verification channel, verified role, optional unverified role, account-age rules, staff role, and delivery mode.

Step 4

Route logs

Set verify, alt, join, and leave log channels from the Logs workspace so staff evidence is split cleanly.

Step 5

Tune modules

Enable only what the server needs: invite tracking, unresolved review, risk roles, invite milestone roles, security watch, review queue, and more.

Step 6

Lock down commands

Use Commands to allow commands by role, channel, or entire channel category. Native Discord permission checks still apply.

Reliability

Protection stays responsive during maintenance

Aegis Pulse separates live Discord work from heavier database jobs. The server overview shows which process is active, and the bot takes over automatically if the worker stops.

Immediate Discord actions

Joins, invite attribution, logs, commands, and role delivery stay in the live bot process.

Deferred processing

Heavier database synchronization, retention, and learning run outside the Discord gateway when the worker is online.

Automatic fallback

If the separate worker is unavailable, the bot safely resumes deferred work without disabling server protection.

Durable retries

Queued risk updates are claimed atomically and retried after temporary MongoDB or Supabase failures.

Visible health

The server overview reports bot, worker, MongoDB, Supabase, and invite-attribution health separately.

Discord setup

Required permissions and role hierarchy

For the smoothest setup, Administrator works. If a server does not want to grant Administrator, these are the permissions Aegis Pulse uses depending on enabled modules.

View Channels

Lets the bot find setup channels, panels, logs, and public Discord resources.

Send Messages

Required for verification panels, startup notices, staff logs, and command replies.

Embed Links

Required for clean verification, join, leave, risk, and dashboard embeds.

Use Application Commands

Allows slash commands to be used in the server.

Manage Roles

Required for verified roles, unverified roles, risk roles, invite milestone roles, and role repair.

Manage Server

Required for invite fetching and reliable invite attribution.

View Audit Log

Recommended for security watch and high-impact moderation context.

Kick/Ban Members

Only needed if the server later enables automated enforcement that uses kick or ban actions.

Role hierarchy matters: the Aegis Pulse role must be above verified roles, unverified/gate roles, Low/Medium/High Risk roles, and invite milestone roles. If the bot can see a role but cannot manage it, Discord will reject the role update.

Verification

How website verification works

Verification is server-scoped. A member may verify in one server without automatically becoming verified everywhere, while hashed telemetry can still support global abuse correlation across Aegis Pulse data.

1

Member opens the server-specific verification page and logs in with Discord.

2

Member selects the community and completes the friendly picture check.

3

Aegis Pulse performs its disclosed safety check. IP abuse logging may occur and private information is protected with hashing before retention.

4

The configured Discord role is delivered and authorized staff receive the verification outcome.

Invite system

Invite tracking, recovery, and credits

Aegis Pulse records the full invite lifecycle: who joined, who invited them, what source was detected, whether the member verified, whether they later left, and whether the invite should count toward milestones.

Valid invites

Real tracked joins that passed the server's risk and verification rules.

Fake invites

Tracked joins finalized as suspicious or confirmed alt after the available evidence is evaluated. Provisional joins stay pending instead of being treated as proven fake.

Left invites

Tracked joins that later leave the server and reduce invite standing where applicable.

Manual credits

Staff can add or remove invite credit when Discord attribution is incomplete or a giveaway correction is needed.

Vanity joins

Joins through a custom server URL are tracked as vanity/source evidence but cannot always credit a normal invite code.

Server discovery

Discovery joins are recorded as a join method when Discord evidence indicates discovery-like entry.

Offline recovery

On startup, the bot compares stored snapshots, current members, and live invite counts to recover joins missed while offline.

Unresolved review

If attribution still cannot be proven, staff get an interactive review panel with suggestions, search, and manual resolution.

Risk engine

Risk scoring is layered, not single-signal

The engine does not mark someone as an alt from one weak clue. It combines account, invite, verification, telemetry, history, server anomaly, and graph evidence, then reports explainable reasons and safe signals for staff review.

Discord account and membership context.
Invite integrity and relevant server activity.
Verification and established trust history.
Privacy-protected correlation signals.
Unusual coordinated activity affecting the community.
Safe history that protects legitimate members from one-signal conclusions.

Authorized staff receive an explainable risk level, confidence, relevant reasons, safe context, and a review recommendation. Private raw signals are not published.

Logs

What gets posted to staff channels

Logs are split so busy servers do not dump everything into one channel. Configure each destination in the Logs workspace.

Verify logs

Captcha result, verification outcome, telemetry-captured status, assigned roles, and final alt/non-alt status.

Alt logs

High-confidence alt outcomes, identity graph links, review priority, and staff action suggestions.

Join logs

Short join summary with source, inviter if known, verification state, and low/medium/high risk level.

Leave logs

Short leave summary with prior invite status, risk level, likely context, and invite counter impact.

Privacy

Privacy, retention, and deletion

Aegis Pulse is designed for child-safety and staff accountability. It discloses IP abuse logging, hashes private telemetry before correlation, and keeps sensitive evidence inside authorized server views.

Hashed private info

Private verification information is converted into privacy-protected hashes before long-term use.

Server-scoped verification

Verification status is saved per Discord server, while hashed intelligence can support global abuse prevention.

Staff-only alt visibility

Alt links and graph evidence are shown in server logs, review queues, and graph pages for authorized staff only.

Retention

Telemetry retention is designed around a 24-month cleanup window unless the server or legal requirements change.

Deletion

User telemetry deletion exists as a developer-restricted privacy action rather than a general admin button.

Alt Lens opt-out

Users can opt out of premium OSINT-style identifier matching. When opted out, Alt Lens does not run matching for that Discord account.

False-positive protection

Aegis Pulse avoids treating one weak or commonly shared signal as proof of abuse.

Troubleshooting

Common fixes

Most setup problems are Discord permission, role hierarchy, dashboard resource, or invite attribution issues. Start with these checks before changing risk settings.

Invite tracking degraded

Grant Manage Server, keep the bot in the guild, then restart if the server was permission-blocked for the current session.

Roles are not assigned

Move the Aegis Pulse role above verified, unverified, risk, and invite milestone roles.

Verification panel is missing

Open Setup, choose the verification channel and roles, then publish the panel again.

Dashboard resources are partial

The bot may be missing role/channel visibility. Check View Channels, Manage Roles, and channel overrides.

Unresolved joins appear

Run /unresolved after downtime. Staff can resolve with the best invite-code evidence or leave the event unresolved.

A command works in one channel but not another

Check the Commands workspace for allowed roles, channels, and categories.

Discord does not expose every client-side staff view to bots. Aegis Pulse uses member events, invite snapshots, dashboard configuration, verification telemetry, and available Discord API data instead of relying on private Discord client panels.
